Bump for status update.

From our previous conversations you know what i think. Dodge Quad cabs have limited options for subwoofer and amp placement. I say console with a X12 and amp rack under the back seat. Im finishing up on another for a 15 sealed. This was ported for a 12

Post wasn't to discus the issue, it was to point out the fact they are selling a product that they are aware has issues.

I will address the previous post. As far as returning I bought from a small company that is referring issues to Skar who's answer is the next batch will be fixed. As far as other people not having problems, I am aware that they don't do it all the time because a set I installed on an Arc Audio amp plays perfect. The others were on Alpine and Skar amps and all gains set with O-Scope. With the crossovers swapped out the speakers sound good but who wants to pay 130 for components with the chance you may have to buy crossovers.

My brother and a couple friends bought Skar components over the last few months. In total we have installed 6 sets and all of them are having issues with the tweeters cutting out at high volumes. After our dealer contacted Kevin he came back with a solution of running a cap inline between the amp and the passive crossover. Kevin told him that they were aware of the crossover issues and that the next run of components would have better units. After recieving this info I really didnt think the cap was the answer as it would act like an inline filter but were ordered them anyways. Well after wasting time and money on the caps it didnt work, as thought they acted like filter on the signal going into the crossover. Now were are stuck with six pairs of components that we are purchasing passive crossovers for. Long story short, be mindfull that Skar is selling a product that they are aware has issues and are offering no fix for. If you buy the components you very well may have issues.

Yes, that is the external port for the sub.

We finished up my brothers Titan early this morning. Skar components front and back, Sundown SA-8, Skar 85.4 and 800.1.

The only problem I see is you first tried to buy RE audio then bought Kickers.........Man this started bad and went downhill fast. Just kidding. I have bought from them for a while a they do have some stock delays in the website but have always been more than helpful when I called.

The VM1 is making its way to the top of my next purchase list. Hopefully real soon.

I would love to see the ZVX15 installed in that box. Any pics of the new install?

In the other thread you stated that you swapped out the 8's for a new zvx15. Any pics of the new setup.

Throw up some pics of the new sub installed. Chillmaster Will recommended at least 1000 on the vvx.

I'm sure he will just leave it there, maybe he'll go and dent the drivers side to match. Out of all the work happening to the Civic and you point out a little dent.

The ZVX has a chrome motor as to the VVX which has the black EDIT: Well its not really chrome, Its more like a satin finish.

Just received my new SKAR ZVX 15 and much to my surprise they have changed the design. Here's a couple pics. I never saw any post by Kevin leading up to this or any news on the website.
