Alvi45 Posted December 7, 2012 Report Posted December 7, 2012 Ok i have a 02 extended cab silverado and i had a custom box built for 2 sundown sa8v2's front facing and aero port on the side I'm thinking of maybe getting 2 more.. Is there a formula so i can find out what the volume of the box is? Because the box has 2 different heights the back is 7inches and front is 10inches how do i calculate the box volume? Can i still go ported or would i need to go sealed if put in 2 more sa8v2's
wcefai Posted December 9, 2012 Report Posted December 9, 2012 Torres allows you to build trapezoidal boxes
Alvi45 Posted December 9, 2012 Author Report Posted December 9, 2012 Ok how can i do that? Is it on a website?
will77530 Posted December 9, 2012 Report Posted December 9, 2012 basic math l x w x h basically take the box and divide it into sections you know the formula for to solve for area then add all the sections together and bam you have the volume
Alvi45 Posted December 9, 2012 Author Report Posted December 9, 2012 But if I have 2 heights how can I do it with 2 different heights l x w x h1 x h2?
WICK3DxGATA Posted December 9, 2012 Report Posted December 9, 2012 i had the same problem trying to figure out the volume on my box also. but if you go onto google and search (i wish i could remember the site i used) for a volume calculator. 99 Gmc sierra extended cab front speakers: DB drive 6.5 back speakers: DB drive 6.5 amp: none right not subs: none right now Future waiting to get my 2 skar vvw 8s installed

He said: W*L*H1 .. + W*L*H2 .. And there is a product on here that you can use to determine volume >.> Is that being sold yet? in a million, trillion, kabillion years,i would never play that song in my ride. I don't care if its clipped or not LOL. I feel like my nads got clipped after playing this for 15 seconds just to see what it was LOL. No thanks bro. Not into it.

That's not exactly what he said and if he did say it he didn't say it in a way for someone with less knowledge than others (me) that's the whole point of me asking because I don't know how to do it.. And maybe if guys like u didn't act like everyone should know what u know maybe they would be respected alot more.. I wouldn't be asking if I knew how..
Sanitarium Posted December 9, 2012 Report Posted December 9, 2012 i'm more concerened with the fact that your first post implies that you want to add 2 more subs to a box that was "custom built" for 2 . no bueno.
