Hugh G. Rection
ive learned that the dd-1 is a great tool. though i feel that the users it is great for are the bulk of audio enthusiasts who dont really venture into the technical side of audio much, dont want to have to actually take the time learn to use a complex tool, or have to actually use some sort of skill to read a tool and know how to translate that into what to do to solve a problem. like i said, its a great tool, but i feel that i mostly benefits the novice installer. if it had o-scope built into it, it would the bees knees. i set my car up with a dd-1, didnt like it and got hold of a second dd-1. on the termlab, my car would do 1 score with the first dd-1, an entirely different scopre off the second dd-1, then it would do 6.5db louder after my oscilloscope, banging wide open all day long. your story is not believable. then dont believe it. chillmasterwill has seen it.... Miguels
i don't believe for a second that you gained 6.5db using an O-scope. God damn, even Hugh is telling tall tales to discredit the DD-1. Thanks man. im not gonna tell you that you have to believe anything. ive seen some things in your vids i thought about gonna call you out on, but decided not to because i didnt want to be a douche by calling you out while you were marketing your product on your site. and im not telling tales bro, call me a liar all you want but itll never make it true. i dont think Meade would have a problem with you calling him out with proof of said thing.. you can just post and think people will believe you.. CJ18
I would have to see that test on video with the dd1 showing the output voltage vs the oscopes output voltage to believe that. The DD1 showed me distortion at 213.2v, and to my eye, I could see clipping at 219v. At least in my case, 6v is not going to make 6+db more. Something was done differently or turned up louder to get 6db more.

Hugh G. Rection
Something was done differently or turned up louder to get 6db more. yes it was. different tool used to set gain differently. started at head unit, worked my way back. i setup using the 0db track because it has always baffled me why people use the lower db track while trying to set their system up to play clean. use -10db to setup your sub stage to the max it can do without distortion, then play music recorded at 0db which drives the equipment back beyond the point of distortion, then brag about your distortion free system. it is laughable at best.... CJ18
Damn I wasnt trying to start a shit storm here, just wanted to show another video of the DD1 and Oscope being used together. Hugh I am not calling you a liar at all, I do believe that you are telling the truth, but you know how this is, this is the internet bro. Only way to prove what you are saying is with video proof. Anyone can get behind a keyboard and claim whatever they want. Not calling you out, but would like to see video proof of what you are saying. You obviously do not understand the concept of gain overlap. That is what happens when you have no training at all. CJ18
I use 0db on everything in my truck except for a -5db at the amp. I have tested it multiple times. When using the -5 tone like the books says, after I set the crossovers back, the output goes right back down to where I have tested for clean power using a 0db tone.
