who has tried a dual use box

the thing is, just closing off the port won't do what he wants. a big ass sealed box will sound like shit. he needs to find a way to not only switch from ported to sealed, but also from small box to larger box. if you ask me, there is no point. You might not even gain any "sq" with a sealed box and you will lose low end. You are likely to end up doing a ton of work for a quiet box with no low end and a louder box with low end. Ported boxes sound fantastic when built and designed well. Do that and save yourself a ton or work for no reason.
