CleanSierra Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 well i like aeros . (i cant get a slotted port right) and i know its a differant truck but im my ext cab s10 i had, i had the subs facing forward for awhile and then up for awhile. facing forward sounded better to me With a cut sheet, a slotted port certainly is easy, and probably the route I would choose. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
ToNasty Posted December 16, 2012 Author Report Posted December 16, 2012 i would do i slot if i could get the dimensions right. im just not good with port area and all that. i built 4 boxes for my sa12 before i said fuck it and did a aero ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
CleanSierra Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 For slot port, box would be: W-39" H-20" D-20" Port H-18.5" W-4.5" L-21" .34 for sub displacement(none for bracing at the moment) Net airspace would be just at 6(5.96) tune at 35Hz(34.96) 13.97 sq inches of port per foot. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
CleanSierra Posted December 16, 2012 Report Posted December 16, 2012 If aeros box dims: H-20" W-37" D-20" 5 4" aeros at full length if 17 inches 10.50 sq inches of port pert foot 5.98 cubes of air net 34.67Hz tune Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
ToNasty Posted December 17, 2012 Author Report Posted December 17, 2012 shit so i will have to do 15's ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
ToNasty Posted December 17, 2012 Author Report Posted December 17, 2012 those dimensions are for a single 18 correct? because if i can keep it at one 18 i have room to the side for my amps and b attery ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
CleanSierra Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 The dimensions I gave are based on what you gave. You said 5-6 cubes, I really don't know what subs you're building or if what size they are at this point. I'm thinking you don't have the subs yet. I was only going off of dimensions you gave. What will go in there is up to you. It looks like its the proper space for 2 15s. 1 18" would fit in the space also, yes. Once you decide what you really want to do, then ask the questions you're asking now. Are you actually ready to build? Like are you just contemplating getting custom subs or are they actually being built? Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
CleanSierra Posted December 17, 2012 Report Posted December 17, 2012 The max dims you listed won't be enough for 2 18s. Even at 54" in width that only gives you 10.40 before port and sub displacements Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
ToNasty Posted December 17, 2012 Author Report Posted December 17, 2012 yes your correct. i am ready to build and i like the dimensions you gave me for 1 18. that will work a lot better then to actually fill my whole back seat and have to squeeze an amp and battery in. the dim you gave me for the 1 18 will allow me to fit everythingi need ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
