momofx76
I got a box that was originally made for some Hifonics 15's - do you guys think this box is good enough for two AB XFL1544's? Here are the dimensions (note that the box has an angled back) : Width : 38" Height : 20" Bottom Depth : 26" Top Depth : 18" Port size (there are two at the bottom of the box) : Width - 14.5" , Height - 3.5" , Length - 21.5" Box is made with .75" MDF. What do you guys think?

Don't know in which vehicle you intend to use it but it will probably be rather lacking on deep bass, best thing you can do is test it.
momofx76
Thanks - I tried it out and while it did hit the very low notes, it got very loud at around 50 Hz or so. I am wondering if I should put some polyfil on all the walls inside it? BTW the box is coated with resin on the inside.
Joe X
In vehicles with high cabin gain you get the low notes from that, if the peaking at 50Hz bothers you maybe damping as you say can help some if you don't want to rebuild.
momofx76
Ok thanks - I will try the polyfil and see if it does any good.
