Omega5002
Can having a bad power wire cause really bad voltage drops at the amp? I've been having really bad voltage drops, and I don't know why My electrical is a 55-100 amp stock alt, Deka G34, Big 5 done(Yes Big 5), and I'm only running 900 rms at 2 ohms(amp is rated to take 60 amps, so it's actually overrated) My power and ground wire is a Cadence 4 gauge I got from a kit long time ago when I was starting out car audio Here's some pictures Voltmeter setup amp wiring and my problem http://youtu.be/zi2HqvwUTsI 2003 Kia Sorento Team Subsonic LowsTeam Bassin' on a Budget2016 Rebuild Under Construction Best score: 150.2 at 40hz (3k, 2 Custom HDC3 15's) Usaci style(door open, in the kick)

Watch the bass
55-100 amp alt??? You mean you have 55 @ idle and 100 max. That´s a tiny alt, if your car is running and use some voltage for his own electrical and you draw on music 50-70 amps, so it realy start to suck you batt quick. It looks like itaht you have the 90 $ batt out of the offer in the "Hot-deal´s" section, add a second batt. Or get a 150 amp + alt, + depend´s more what you want to do in the future "in the abundance of water, the fool is thirsty" Bob Marley

Yeap, still using it cause it hasn't blown or anything Friend of mine told me that it could be my power being too small causing it to drop badly 55-100 amp alt??? Autruche
Are you holding the throttle at about 2,000 RPM? You do not get full alternator output until you are around 1800-2500 engine RPMs. It might only be able to put out 40 amps or less at idle. Need Test Tones/Sine Waves?
