I had a Kenwood DDX 896 and it was absurd the features it had. Nice built in Xover features, digital time alignment, 5V preouts etc. The Pioneer PRS is gonna be hard to best for the money for a great single din unit. Im not the one you want to try to troll. The PRS I've never heard associated with the problem, but I've always thought it was a bummer to receive a brand new HU to have noise right out of the box. Im not the one you want to try to troll. all4spl Posted December 29, 2012 Report Share Posted December 29, 2012 The 80PRS does NOT have the RCA noise issue I have had mine a while and NEVER an issue. It is also a VERY good sounding unit with a TON of SQ oriented features, my previous units were all top of the line Alpines, CDA-9887 and before that was a CDA-9835 both VERY well known SQ headunits. However it seems Alpine is done making TOP end Single din units. Sounds like you figured out your issue but if you are looking for a single din with many options and features and that is all around badass do NOT overlook the 80PRS.
