Afficionado
I've been doing different small timey garage car audio stuff for a little while. I think i'm finally ready for a wall. I want to make sure i do it all right and intelligently. Be gentle because i am not very knowledgeable about this stuff. My plan is most likely 2x 15's, which ones is yet to be determined, and most likely about 3k watts powering them. I'm thinking the area i will be working with in my Corolla is approx. H 3', W 2.5', D 2'. What would my best bet for a wall be? as far as tuning and basic construction of it. I would literally love any input, because i'm going to need major help. How much will i need for supports? will all walls need to be double baffled? is it stupid to wall just 2x subs? any input at all will be appreciated. THANKS! If you have any questions relating to nutrition, lifting, or health in general, feel free to give me a PM and I will give you straight forward advice with no BS involved. Swordlordboy1234
That doesn't seem like too big of a wall. I could be wrong but 5 second conversions in my head told me that your wall is almost the same size as my trunk box for 2 12's My old YouTube channel : http://www.youtube.com/user/SwordLords1234?feature=mhee My old build log : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/161872-96-accord-b2-sundown-sky-high-dc-power-re-re-build-for-heatwave/page-37 My New Build - http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/207041-2016-mazda-6-sql-build/ 2016 Mazda 6 Touring JL Fix 86 - OEM signal correction B2 prototype DSP 6to8 B2 Ref63 - 3 way active set 2 B2 Class H quattro's 1 B2 Zero.5R @.5 2 B2 HNv3 12 d2 B2 SLIP40 - Lithium in the trunk Northstar Group 35 under the hood 100ft 2/0 welding cable 30ft 4ga welding cable 20ft 8ga welding cable All stinger OFC speaker wire Soundrive custom RCA's Tons of attention to detail.... Those dimensions he gave was right around 12.8 cubes gross. Enough for a couple 18s Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you. CleanSierra
Yeah I'm sure that's right, youre right at close to 5 before displacements. The thing is, he's got 36"X30"X24". That's quite a bit bigger than your box, wouldn't you say? Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
Swordlordboy1234
Yeah mainly the height... I guess that's where the cubes are. The other dims didn't seem that much bigger, My old YouTube channel : http://www.youtube.com/user/SwordLords1234?feature=mhee My old build log : http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/161872-96-accord-b2-sundown-sky-high-dc-power-re-re-build-for-heatwave/page-37 My New Build - http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/207041-2016-mazda-6-sql-build/ 2016 Mazda 6 Touring JL Fix 86 - OEM signal correction B2 prototype DSP 6to8 B2 Ref63 - 3 way active set 2 B2 Class H quattro's 1 B2 Zero.5R @.5 2 B2 HNv3 12 d2 B2 SLIP40 - Lithium in the trunk Northstar Group 35 under the hood 100ft 2/0 welding cable 30ft 4ga welding cable 20ft 8ga welding cable All stinger OFC speaker wire Soundrive custom RCA's Tons of attention to detail.... I could be wrong but 5 second conversions in my head told me that your wall is almost the same size as my trunk box for 2 12's well, it will most likely be just 2x 15's and 3k watts, so it doesn't need to be huge, though i could change my idea of course. john253a
Cone is king on low power You could do 3 or 4x 18" if your wall is big enough to fit them in, as the cuft space is there I say go big or go home If funds arnt quite there you could look at OA Fi do some good cheep stuff but you'll drop 1200 for 4 of theirs Side note Why is the wall so small 36x30 Most car allow for a 40x45 wall Unless your in a real small car
