I'm looking to purchase 2 vvx subwoofers powered by a skar audio 2500/1. Can the a single VVX handle 1000 watts? Or how many watts the 2500/1 will put out divided by 2 subs.

Not clipped, with good electrical..yes 2 can handle a 2500. If you are concerned, you can always get d2 subs and wire them to 2 ohm and run 1450 RMS to them. That comes out to 725 watts per sub (figuratively speaking)
