Rmichael91 Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 Were your amps tuned correctly? Bad signal?
wellington Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 Well if the song is already clipped, I would assume yes. Opened up "north memphis like me" and the whole song is clipped. I am not sure if that means the sub is clipping automatically because of this, but I assume it means the sub is as well. I think it depends how loud you go and how durable the sub is? 2010 HHR LT - DNX 6160 - sony xec-700 - sony xm-4040 for door mids - XM-6020 for tweets in a-pillar - saz1500d v1 - VVME RD-12 1.75 f^3 32hz guru and president of the "cheap asses trying to beat up the block with bargain bin woofers" club
SnowDrifter Posted January 5, 2013 Report Posted January 5, 2013 If you set your gain too high for the RCA voltage your amp is receiving, you will clip ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
