hayden55 Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 I just bought one sundown audi sa-8v2 subwoofer and have the plans to make a 0.63ft3 ported box tuned at 35hz. Im wondering how many watts would the absolute safe maximum to push to this little beast as i have heard they are super under rated. im thinking about a hifonics hfi1000d. 750w rms @2ohms, variable low pass, variable sub sonic filter, and built in the USA! for 130 i can get this amp and a cadence 1200w wiring kit.what are you guy's thoughts on this? 2000s-10 Posted January 7, 2013 Report Posted January 7, 2013 You'd be suprised how loud they can get on 3-500 watts...a buddy of mine has one in. .7 on a sundown 100.4 bridged at 4 ohm and its loud! 1999 grand prix gt kenwood x994 head unit 1/0 big 3 all shok industry single run to the back New mid/highs coming not sure what Soundqubed q2200d at .5 (have) 2 soundqubed hdc3 12s (have) New box to be built.. sealed firing forward (yet to be designed) 200 amp alt not sure exact size or manufactor xs power batts
