Sundown Audio

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade from 2 rockford fosgate punch p1s, and a "1200w Sony amp" to something better.

I was thinking about 1 sa12, ported. But i was told i dont have enough depth.. 6-8inchs. and that would be on the passenger side.

So i plan on getting 2 sd2-12s [D4 model] - from sundownonly.com

http://www.sundownon...-sd2-12-dual-4/

and run them off of this amp @ 4ohm or 2? :twirl:

http://audioque.com/...ifier_p_30.html

My lights dim a little with the shitty set-up i have now so i also want to get a big 3 kit. i was looking at this one:

http://www.ceautoele...m/big3kits.html

I drive a 2000 s10 xtreme, single cab. So i dont have any room at all. Its a daily driver (mostly night since i work the graveyard shift at UPS)

i'm not looking at numbers or anything.. i just want something that sounds good and hits hard.

Is there any other good amps around my price range of 250-300$ ??

Ive been working my ass off so i can get some good equipment. so let me kno what you all think!

Thanks

with your lack of space if you want to go ported you might oughta do a couple e8v3's. you have enough depth for them as they're less than 5" deep, and you would probably have more output with them ported rather than the 2 sd-12's sealed.

c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old.

i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer.

4 8ev3's on a saz 1200 will be loud in that truck. A set of the 6.5cs on a 125.4 running active. The big 3 kit from audio Technix along with 4ga and 8 ga kits ofc of course and a 270a alt would diffently do the trick.

Would they be able to run @ 1200 watts?

I guess i cant run them at 2 ohm, since the amp i got is a mono block.. which would've be 870

With clean signal I think they can. Make sure your gains are set correctly
