I'm running 2 SD-2 12's (D4) in a sealed box. I dont know if they need more power or the box is to small.. Im running them at 4 ohms on a SQ-1200d, so 510w and they sound like my old set up. which was 2 p1s on a sony xplod 1400w amp. it kinda pisses me off that i spent 600 bucks and it sounds like shit. The only positive thing is my lights dont dim now. I want to build a new box once it gets warmer. Sealed, but bigger. Or ported. Trucks a single cab so i dont have any room at all. I really want to know if i can run them at 1ohm, 1000 watts and be okay. Will it give more bass? or is it just using way more power.?

i do. Sometimes. i just like to point out why i get a bad rap. Some even say "steve has a "reputation" of being a dick".......when that isn't true. Its not a "reputation" its a few people LIKE THIS GUY who make other people think that. My reputation to people is pretty good usually, unless they do me wrong FIRST. Then its open game. Hey guys, I'm looking to upgrade from 2 rockford fosgate punch p1s, and a "1200w Sony amp" to something better. I was thinking about 1 sa12, ported. But i was told i dont have enough depth.. 6-8inchs. and that would be on the passenger side. i driver helped last xmas and anything that looked expensive we would call the number on the package or put it in the backyard. an put a note on the door letting the person kno. but i never tried to open someones door. and i doubt he went snooping around your house cause they dont have time to do that kind of shit. thats why you see some drivers throw packages on youtube, cause their in a big hurry.
