So I've got an '08 Aveo with a stock alternator putting out 85amps. I got a quote from Tenney Alternators for a drop in unit capable of 120amps at idle, 180amps at 1800rpm. I'm putting an XS D4800 under the hood, closest to my stock size of a group 86 battery, and 2 XS S975s in the trunk. Powering a Skar sk2500 and sk85.4 with the possibility of another 85.4 and a 3sixty3 down the road. Doing the big3 in 1/0, and doing a run of both positive and negative to the rear, wiring the S975s in paralell. Would the electrical after the fact hold up pretty well?

Sounds like a pretty solid electrical to me. There's people running larger amps on stock alts. Looks like you're ahead on the electrical with the XS batts too. How many runs of the 1/0 are you using?

Was gonna do a single run of positive and single negative to the back, for a complete circuit. But ground the batteries in the rear as well. Currently waiting on wire, buying everything at different times. If I can squeeze in another run of both then I may just do so. Snag some battery terminals from Toolmaker with a pair of dual 1/0awg inputs and another goody. Not sure on busbars though.

If your only getting a 180 amps max out of your alt then one run of 1/0 either ofc or cca will be fine. As stated your electrical will be good with what you have.

There's not much we can do with the Aveo alternators without a bunch of custom fabricating. I just wanted to doublecheck and catch any advice on the matter before I go through with orders. And I know Tenneys reputable with a lifetime warranty. Just a basic trunk car afterall
