I am new to working on these trucks so where would be the best place to run my RCA's and 1/0 power wire when I install it. Thanks. I'm sitting staring at my torn apart dash... Thanks. Thanks, wow I just seen the same question posted earlier... i feel dumb lol. I already started running rcas on passenger side but it's not done yet so I will look at some UBLs and may switch it. Ok so really it is easier to have it on the passenger side anyways then. I will have to find some grommets. Just hard to get at the darn spot to drill. I've done it in my car but this is new to me My 2005 s10 blazer build. 4 zcon 18's walled.
CHEVY4X4BLAZER Posted January 10, 2013 Report Posted January 10, 2013 Just be careful. Identify a clear spot inside the cab, under the dash. Verify that there are no hazards drilling through the fire wall.
Pioneerchuck Posted January 10, 2013 Report Posted January 10, 2013 Try and keep your power wires on separate sides from your audio wires to keep down on background noise. But other than that, you can run the RCAs down the driver side like Chevy^ said, this is easier than running them on the passenger side because all you gotta do is run them around the cluster and down the kicks into the floor. Takes maybe 20 minutes to get them run. And it is usually easier to find a spot to drill on the passenger side since driver side has pedals, throttle cables, and some wiring plugs where you would need to run the wiring. If you're really strapped for a spot to run the wires into the cab, I know in my F150 I ran them up through the floor with some screw type grommets.
aqsmous Posted January 14, 2013 Report Posted January 14, 2013 come through firewall with 1/0 and go under the center console straight down the middle of the vehicle. you wires will end up coming out right in the trunk between the 2 backseats. this is where i have mine ran and you cant see any of the 2 strips of 0. i ran my rca's down the passenger side.. i have an 04 2door blazer.
