ehall8702 Posted January 11, 2013 Report Posted January 11, 2013 ok, i just got my hands on a MMats pro audio D1600.1 monoblock. Stable to 1 ohm which is what i need cause i have 2 dual 4 ohm 15's. I hae never owned any mmats stuff, is it worth a crap? Here are the specs http://www.mmatsproaudio.com/pdfs/2004-2008%20Manuals/D1600.1_D1600.2.htm i also just got enough 0/1 guage power wire to do the big 3 ( except i have to run 4 guage from alternator to battery for now) and i will be building a new box very soon ( somewhere around 3 ft3 and tuned to about 32). Back to my origional concern....this amp is small 10"x12"x2" ( rounded numbers exact are on the link above), says 1150RMS@1 ohm......i just cant see it though. The amp has no fuses on it at all either. Yall gimme some input if you have had a mmats amp before please. Good thing is my buddy owns a pawn shop so i dont pay anything for equipment so if it suck atleast i didnt get ripped off. One thing i know, it HAS to be better than the Power Acoustik OV2-1200 that i recently stuck in there. 2009 Silverado 1500, 7.5" lift, 37x12.50r17s, Built Gen 4 5.3L ( 4.8l flat pistons, decked 243s, SS2 Cam, Pac 1218 springs, ported intake, 120mm TB, Long tubes, 3" duals HP tuner software tuned by me), 4l80e swapped and 4.56 gears. All done by me. stereo is Pioneer avh 600ex, all stinger rca, jp23 v1.5, skar rp150.4, and hertz hpd4. 2 SHCA 6.5 8ohm, 1 SHCA 3.5", and 1 DS18 tw120pro in each door. The 3.5 mid and 3.5" tweeters are powered by the skar rp150.4, the 6.5s are powered by the hertz bridged @4 ohms. Dual runs of 3/0 welding cable, 300a alternator, 2 Vmax AGMs up front. current sub is a AB XR 12 ( dual 2 ohm) with bottom spider cut out in 2.25 cubes at 32hz
8ight Posted January 11, 2013 Report Posted January 11, 2013 It will make the power it claims, MMATS amps are interesting to say the least I'm gonna hate
ehall8702 Posted January 11, 2013 Author Report Posted January 11, 2013 Thats good to hear! i have a feeling my stereo is going to be pretty loud once im done. my poor little V12 only pumps 50X4 and 150x1 so thats next to get upgraded, i figured i could use the 150x1 to run some midbass woofers in the kick panels in mono to catch what the freqs between the 5.25's and the 15's. 2009 Silverado 1500, 7.5" lift, 37x12.50r17s, Built Gen 4 5.3L ( 4.8l flat pistons, decked 243s, SS2 Cam, Pac 1218 springs, ported intake, 120mm TB, Long tubes, 3" duals HP tuner software tuned by me), 4l80e swapped and 4.56 gears. cloud77 Posted January 22, 2013 Report Posted January 22, 2013 I own a older d300hc and it puts out more than rated to say the least. Its only 12'' long and 8" wide rated at 1400 @13.8v and its putting out all of that and more. Just got my hands on a d2000.1 for a bill, but the temp light is coming on, going to send it to ampmedics for a fix and hopefully end up in good standing. These amps do amazing power for the minimal footprint. 2004 Grand Prix GT (2) 12" RE XXXs (04/05 XBL^2) 5 cu. ft tuned @ 35 Hz MMATS HD4000.05 MMATS SQ4100 Infinity Kappa components Juice Box black cherry Duralast platinum group 34 1/0 KNU OFC, 2/0 welding Singer 250A
