Temeraire Posted January 13, 2013 Report Posted January 13, 2013 I have three Soundstreams in an enclosure that i dug up out of my shop, and I'm wanting to know if they work. How would I go about doing this? If I need an amp, I don't have one. Can someone tell me how? Thanks
Raptorman Posted January 13, 2013 Report Posted January 13, 2013 Grab a DMM, set it to read Ohms, put the nodes in each voice coil and make sure they all read, and read the same. Make sure they don't fluctuate in numbers. Push down on the cones and feel for coil rub or anything that sticks out. All I can think of. Edit: Also if you can, look at the voice coil and see if it's blackened or anything. 1996 GMC Sonoma Four Fi BTL Neo 18's In 2:1 6th Order Bandpass 2 Ampere 5k's @ .5 TEAM FI TEAM #LITHIUMCANTDEMO On 10/20/2013 at 0:37 AM, KillaCam said: Fucking with a Prius driver is like making fun of a disabled kid. MrSkippyJ Posted January 13, 2013 Report Posted January 13, 2013 unless you use them, you won't really know. You can pop them with a battery but that will only tell you so much. purplesyrup Posted January 13, 2013 Report Posted January 13, 2013 do you not have any sort of home stereo you could plug a cable for a second just to see if they play?
Temeraire Posted January 13, 2013 Author Report Posted January 13, 2013 The only Home Stereo in the house is an iPod dock.
