White Lightning
My wife's car needs a new battery. Even though it starts the car fine, it does not have the power to "power up" her HIDs ... So, a new battery is going in her car next paycheck so I can reinstall her HIDs ... This time, I will ground her relays and ballast like I did with my GMT400 Chevy ... WastedTalent
I'd have to assume it's not the lights. Like literally. I mean I had flickering HID's because they blew a fuse and my car ran perfect. I realize if your batt or alt gives out, obviously won't run perfect. But I'm thinking it's something mechanical (fuel injection) or something else. Sheena = pedobear
Littleblacksonoma
but how would that tie into the lights the only times i have problems out of the truck is when the headlights do that

WastedTalent
Somehow when you do the lights, it affects the alt which causes it? I honestly don't have a clue, just throwin that out there. I do think it's odd, without a doubt. But don't think it's the lights. Just happens when you do your lights. Maybe try putting your regular lights in and see if it does it? Sheena = pedobear

Kranny
everythings fine the alt is 165 amp and the battery is only a few months old. ive noticed when they kill my truck, it has problems in overdrive. at low rpm itll miss and lash hard and down shift but when the lights dont do that i have no issues. and if it matters i lost my high beams before the hid install 165 amps? did you get it from ebay by chance?
