cold weather xs power , kinetik or crescendo

Recommended Posts

I would not get a battery isolator, they are pretty useless imo. Granted i have 5 batteries total in my truck i had left my truck sit in the driveway for a week and it was only 10 degrees Fahrenheit and it was still 12.8v and cranked the engine with no hesitation. XS power will be perfect for you. I have abused mine a lot and have had 0 problems and they still run like they did out of the box brand new.

isolators cause a voltage drop over them also, don't waste your money

how much voltage drop are we talking here with a 500 amp stinger iso?? I just don't want my batteries fighting one another, there's nothing wrong with my yellow top and the XS D1200 is brand new but the YT has better specs.

.5v's to 1 volt of drop, not worth it, you will never charge your rear batteries to the fullest, either get a new battery up front, or don't worry about it, cause it wont make that big of a different, or get a xs intellecharger and charge all the batteries up each night like I do :P

yea, plus when you go to reconnect the batteries, there will be a difference and they will surge and send power to the lowest voltage battery, which could be hundreds of amps moving around of power, so in the end its a waste
