OK I screwed up my box plans. its 52x15x8

i made the port wrong so box is tuned to around 22hz.....

heres the calculations

boxdesign.png

heres box without top on........port is 2 x 6.5 x 30....... i was thinking i can just seel of the side of box and have an opening on top of box that will be 6.5........ i have no idea how to calculate box volume......im trying to get box over 30 to 35hz with this existing box.

heres a pic with top on..........so basically what im thinking is 2in deep 6.5 opening and 30in long.

so i would just seel this side off

not 6.5 opening on top but 13.5...........................so port would be 2in deep by 13.5 x 6.5.......what would that bring the box to tuning wise. i would seel it off from firing to passenger wall and i would fire port up.

if im looking at your box right it seems that you want port firing to the side. if so you can cut another port insert the same size and length and install at the lower end of the box, should put tuning around 33ish hz with just a little less than your target port area.. basically you will end up with 2 two inch by 6.5 x 30 inch l ports..
