medley123
So I'm working on upgrading my electrical in my 06 Ford Escape and... the damn alternator is at the very bottom of the vehicle... wtf! Is there any easy way to get to it???? I've looked online and pretty much every page says I have to take off the halfshaft to get to it which will be a major PITA if that's what I need to do... Does anyone else here have another suggestion for what I can do that may have worked on one in the past? I'm still looking for small shops in my area that I might be able to help me out, but when i talked with one guy at goodyear he said it would be something around a $200+ job for the labor. But they can't do it if I provide the alternator, they have to use theirs. 2006 Ford EscapeHead Unit: Kenwood KDC 352Subs: (3) 15" DC XL 15s with PSI recones, 1.4 ohm coilsSub amp: DD Audio M4 (Black Version)Door Speakers: (2) Crossfire 10s, (2) Hertz Coax.Mid/highs amp: Rockford Fosgate P500-4 Electrical:XS D3400 under the hood(3) XS XP3000s in the back2 runs of KnuKonceptz OFC 0 Gauge ran to the back (1 pos, 1 neg)Excessive Amperage 300 amp alt (FINALLY!) If I had known I was going to be doing a "big" system when I bought my car at the time, I'd have looked for another vehicle with easier access haha. 2006 Ford EscapeHead Unit: Kenwood KDC 352Subs: (3) 15" DC XL 15s with PSI recones, 1.4 ohm coilsSub amp: DD Audio M4 (Black Version)Door Speakers: (2) Crossfire 10s, (2) Hertz Coax.Mid/highs amp: Rockford Fosgate P500-4 Electrical:XS D3400 under the hood(3) XS XP3000s in the back2 runs of KnuKonceptz OFC 0 Gauge ran to the back (1 pos, 1 neg)Excessive Amperage 300 amp alt (FINALLY!)
