corey0928
I could order off new egg. Just figured since it's only a few miles away I could just go to micro center
Kranny
microcenter has cheaper intel (i dont know about amd) processors than literally anywhere else. i'd just buy the cpu there and get everything else on newegg.

Confirmed. For every build I've done I have gotten the processor from micro center. Just to touch lightly on amd vs intel. Intel is better. Amd wins at nothing in the real world. Maybe price? But amd is like the hifonics of computers. beaker
I'm always skeptical about buying processors at a storefront that are cheap, mainly because its actually a HUGE counterfit racket.
wellington
I bought an ES amd cpu for $80 and sold it on ebay for $250. That paid for most of my rig. Bought that cheap GMC bulldozer case for $20, sold it for $60. Then bought a NZXT hades for $50 brand new (cost me $10) I would still recommend craigslist over anything. And check frys ads weekly to see what they have on sale 2010 HHR LT - DNX 6160 - sony xec-700 - sony xm-4040 for door mids - XM-6020 for tweets in a-pillar - saz1500d v1 - VVME RD-12 1.75 f^3 32hz guru and president of the "cheap asses trying to beat up the block with bargain bin woofers" club
beaker
Yeah, I got my i7 920 and EVGA motherboard off craigslist a few years ago for 150, with 6 gigs of ram.
corey0928
Think I'm going to go with this case http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemNumber=N82E16811146093 It's $84 at micro center and $20 mail in rebate making it only $ 64 So i5 3570k for $190 or 3770k i7 for 230?
