+ big 3 and your good, dont add the alt without doing a quality big 3 on it.

CURRENT SYSTEM:

  • Alternator:
    1. Stock alt on mids/highs
    2. Isolated DC Power 270 SP - Charging @ 16.8v
  • Batteries: (2) XS D1400s
  • Power Cable: Double Runs of 1/0 KNU Kolossus Fleks
  • Headunit: 80-PRS
  • Sub Amp: DC 5.0k
  • Subwoofers: 2 RE MT 15s /PSI dual .7ohm recones
  • Subwoofer Enclosure: 9.1cubes @ 32hz - brutal.
  • Mids & Highs Amp: CT125.4
  • Active Components:
    • Mids RE XXX 6.5c
    • Highs - 3 RE XXX tweeters per side(A pillar)
  • Noise Control: Damplifier Pro all over the cab.

Oh yeah that will be enough for the system with power left over.

You sure? 2 K watt amp can draw 200 amp´s and the rest of the car is happy with 40 amp´s?

I would say, sound´s good with the big 3 and if there are still voltagedrop´s add a 2. batt.

Yeah do the big 3 (kind of thought that was a given). But yeah he will be fine with the 1 battery and the HO alt. Most 2k amps require a 200A inline fuse. If your 2k starts drawing anywhere near 200A constantly then its a very inefficient amp. As for the car. Worst case scenario with everything on in the car, all power windows, mirrors, door locks, heated seats, etc all running at the same time it might might pull 40A of power. But the old saying goes you can never have to good of an electrical set up.
