KiKaZz74 Posted March 29, 2013 Author Report Share Posted March 29, 2013 new updates. after throwing this in the dc section and hearing i needed a stronger basket i think i figured it out. 10 spoke total in 5 groups of 2. also beefed up the surround and added the tinsel leads and terminals. basically redesigned the basket from the spokes up. only thing that didnt change was the base/spider landing part. onto pics! IF you look at Ti baskets you can see how far out the spider is spaced from the motor on subs like the SP4. Also on the New sundown x/z lineup too. The spider will probably be your limiting factor here., because (idk your exact dims jsut trying to get point across) if you have only an inch gap betweent the triple joint and the top plate of the motor..that means you have an inch of downward travel before it would strike the top plate.
