LOL your funny if u think RF is going to fix a refurb just cause a dealer got involved, NOT!

The amp's have a serial number on them, don't pull no crap like that, you will get clowned.

454 is their repair price. Maybee another company can fix it? I have seen the cases on the t4001 rattle.

If u can fix it with a new board for 400 go for it.

im not pulling that. that was someone elses idea. i was told if the amp was a complete lose, that RF will replace the whole board for $400.

is $454 there flat rate, no matter what the problem is?

so im guessing this thing wasnt bought authorized and has no warranty? damn.....i mean hell bro, if it was the only problem you would have is waiting on the UPS guy because it would be NO problem at all. Now you got a problem.

Of course buying this amp new from an authorized RF dealer would be best, but let's face it, they are VERY expensive, EVEN at dealer cost. For many of us, we gotta take the deals when they come and YEAH, there are some risks assosiated with these purchases too. This is a prime example. Still if you can get this amp repaired like new from RF it is STILL much cheaper than new, and YEAH it is a hassle to do, but you go no other choice. This is the First RF T series amp besides steve's that I have seen blow up, and we know what happened to Steve's amps.. <_<

In any event, the guys at RF seem pretty nice, let them know your situation and see what they can do for you.

well i want a Bently, but lets face it, its expensive even at dealer cost LOL. I mean @ 55cents a watt, i dont think its THAT expensive. It might be more then some people have but that dont change the dollar per watt being GREAT!

anyway, if the amp was just used and you bought it, maybe it DOES have a warranty. Its ok to get a used amp from someone who bought authorized to begin with but buying from an unauthorized "transshipper" is where you run into problems.

oh, im not returning any favor by lettin you borrow my amp i just figured i would help you out......no big deal. The amp is the same size as the T3k so have all your wires taped up and ready to go in the same spot and it should bolt right up.

also, where was the original amp mounted? Mounting an amp to a box that resonates due to not being braced and dampened can for sure shake shit off the board.........

Christian: my first amp that blew was like one of the first four off the production line and for all i know it WAS the first. (25% chance :D) i guess i was the T4k guinnea pig :D they fixed it and since then i havent had any problems at all and im going on a year and a half now :) Even if something tragic happens it feels good having that warranty.

If you spend 400, see if they can " throw in " a T4000 board instead :P
