Plankers_Pend
Alright, so I let my buddy borrow my amp (which i found out was a mistake) because he called me and said it stopped working. I tried hooking it to my car again and flames came out of the side near the power cable. Well, i took it to a shop and they say its the power supply that is shot now. So my question is, is it worth it to get it repaired, or am i going to be better off buying a new amp? Guest
make him buy you a new one. its his fault for ruining your property. why you let him borrow it in the first place?
Plankers_Pend
Yeah i know now it was a huge mistake, and ive already got him paying me back for it, so thats taken care of. And the reason i let him borrow it is because i unhooked all my wiring so i could upgrade it at a later point in time, so I had the amp out at the time as well. Guest
you learned a very important lesson. never let anybody borrow your shit. dumbass probably had a strand of wire bridge the ground and power connections. i hope he pays you back the $400 and some change back. Plankers_Pend
Yeah im already being payed back, and I know to keep my equipment in my car only now. Any suggestions though, am I better off buying a new 2200d, or getting this one repaired? Edit: Thank you, I will give them a call and get it sent in to them and see what happens.
