01xtreme Posted February 2, 2008 Report Share Posted February 2, 2008 iirc, polk will offer to fix you sub, but they dont offer recone kits. you can send it back, and they will either replace, or repair your sub...if it is under warranty. If not you are better off buying another sub since they can be found cheaper than you are likely to pay for a repair. If the voice coil is rubbing, then you'll need a recone kit or a new sub, but I've had subs that just had an inside lead break, & those are fixable if you're skilled.
