Can I get away with this?

Recommended Posts

I'm getting a new system soon that consists two Skar ZVX 15's, a Skar 4500.1D, Skar 125.4, and two sets of Skar VXI's, and a 250A Singer Alternator. I was planning on getting 3 of these batteries: Deka Intimidator 9A34M AGM Battery. Could I hold off on the batteries until I move to Tennessee next month? Or would that be a really bad idea?

The 4500.1 would be running at 1 Ohm, and the 125.4 would be run at 4 ohms.

Think I can get away with just 2 of those batteries? I'm trying to conserve space as I need the rear seat of my Jeep and cant afford to put it back in my rear seat.

Your best bet would be get the batteries before you start bumpin with your new gear or you could seriously screw up your electrical.

That is a lot of power for the single battery, you should remember that the battery bank is equally as important as the alternator.

You could always make a holder that would hide under the truck.

A holder under my vehicle? I don't think this would work but its a good idea. I'm driving a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo a Wj.

Even with the H.O alternator? How many batteries do you recommend? Do you think that I can get away with just 2 batteries?

I have a friend who's running 4 Hifonics BXI 1608's on 2 220 amps alts, but 1 single Duralast gold, he told me he drops into the 10's at full tilt, despite the fact he has the amperage to support the power, but not the battery bank.

At Least 2. 3-4 would be ideal depending on the battery. If you had very large good brand batteries you could get away with 2.
