how many batteries

ok so i havent been able to find alot of info on this..

if i am going to run a aq3500.1 pushing one hdc3-15. will it be aqequite if i run all 1/0 all the way from the alternator, get a h.o. alt, and a d3100 xs battery?

or do i have to have the second battery?

or even one dekka?

You'll need a main battery and a secondary. Suggesting 2 d3100s. One under the hood, one in the rear. Do a run of 1/0 from the alt to the battery, as well as the remaining of the big 3. Run from the main battery to rear battery, with an inline fuse within a foot from the main battery under the hood. What size alternator do you have now? Slight possibility you can get away without a high output, but then there's the possibility of upgrades down the road.

If you use the general formula of 1 amp per 10 watts of power then you need at least 350 amps of alt and or a battery bank to supply the amp with, generally you'll want to exceed the power needed by 15% or more so voltage drop isn't too severe and cause you to drop to dangerous levels while playing full tilt.

i have a stock alt right now, im in the process of collecting all my parts. got my sub my temp box ( until i can decide on the blow through setup) got the aq3500.

dam these xs d3100 are pricey eh..

im almost sure the 3100 bolts in my stock location as well..

do i have to have a 3100? or are there other size options?
