LPF setting on highs amp?

I'm going to be installing 2 component sets running off a 4 channel amp. I don't really like bass coming through these components, if any minimal. What would be a good LPF setting? 130 hz? I'm running the components crossovers as well.

Your a lil ass backwards.

Set the HIGH pass. To what? Whatever floats your boat. At that point and UP, will be audible, and sent.

My amp has a flat, HPF and a LPF setting. So should I just set it HPF and completely ignore the LPF setting? Is that how it works? Sorry. This amp is an old school boss zedaudio

Lpf low pass filter

Lpf cuts out sound higher than set frequency

Hpf cuts out sound lower than set frequency

You have 2 options.

Run "FULL" and let your passive cross-overs do the work in passing bands, or,

Run HIGH, AND ALSO use your passive crossovers. This would be used if you want to cut or remove even MORE lows from the comp set than the passive Xovers are going to do.

Where do your passive Xovers start cutting at?

I'd say hpf components at 80, lpf subs at 80 then tweak from there to your liking. Each car has different acoustics.

I got it, thanks kylar. I'm going to run my amp on HPF and run my comps crossovers as well . I can do minor tweaking from there, thanks guys!

Its Kyle. And not a problem. It can get a lil confusing. And you can cause damage with those being wrong, or off. So, ask. ask ask and then, ask.
