You are going to need a good battery either way, an HO alternator doesn't work well on musical tracks unless you have the appropriate battery capacity for your system. There is a chance that at that power level, you might be OK with the stock alternator, depending on how the amp is wired, gain settings, and your listening habits. The Die Hard Platinum is a great battery that can be obtained locally, BUT in most states you will have to pay sales sax and core fee, which generally makes them the same or more money than having an XS power D3400 shipped to you.
