bassfreake Posted February 11, 2013 Report Posted February 11, 2013 anyone know any places in Norfolk, Va that won't break the bank? at minimum I need to at least get a touch up on my paint cuz right now the rear bumper is chipping like crazy and there's scratches all OVER the place. but I would actually kinda like to get a cammelion paint done but it's a $7000 car so I would rather not pay $4000 on a paint job if yano what I mean lol Thanks I was pretty excited about the alt myself. kind of like a school girl, in a dress, on a swing. lol It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out. osage Posted February 11, 2013 Report Posted February 11, 2013 If it's just certain body panels, go to a junk yard or look online on forums etc. and buy the same part off another car that got totaled or was bought for parts. In the same color that is, to avoid having to repaint that. The only thing you will end up dealing with then possibly is one panel being slightly different color because one is more sun faded etc. Otherwise no, there will be no cheap option to get the car repainted properly. Painting a car is no easy task, it takes a lot of time and prep work to make it come out nicely. There are places like maaco that will do a cheap paint job, even for an entire car. But I've never met anyone that was happy with it. I've seen them ruin a few good cars even that people had taken in to have a body kit etc. put on and ended up being out even more money just fixing their screw ups.Only reasonable option you have is to do plasti-dip. It's a very good option and I've seen several cars that have been entirely painted with it and had it turn out nicely. Pioneerchuck Posted February 12, 2013 Report Posted February 12, 2013 If you're just looking for a good quality but yet cost effective paint job go to a Maaco, they're fairly priced and can do a great re-spray. Usually for same color re-spray is about a grand or so through them
