Need someone who really knows there shit when it comes to box designing. I can send money via PayPal just lmk the amount. I am walling my 99 xtreme with 4 Skar VVX-15's D4 ohm on a Crescendo 3KWP @ .5. Just looking for a nasty, air moving ground pounder than can get low and murder the low lows, yet still be as musical as possible with those throat tickling high notes. My max dimensions give right at 13.5 cubic feet before anything. I can get more if need be but I have read that on this power the VVX's tend to like smaller enclosures. With seat configuration it has to be like in the picture I sketched up. Subs forward, port forward at the top. Lmk if you can help me!

If it has to be that layout like that, do the port the full length of the top of the wall, and do your width of the port in the ratio you need for proper port area, i have never messed with Skar woofers so can't comment, but I would assume 16 sq inch per cube is the area you want and tune around 35 hz for ground pounded and move air.

See, that is the part that I'm not so hot at. I really haven't ever been able to get the tuning the port thing down all that well.

i hate port on top. your roof is the weakest structural panel and you want to stick the most violent part that close?

Well it's really the only place that there is room for a port. If I put it on driver or passenger side, the seats will choke out the port. If I do center slot, half will be choked out by the center console.

Once you take away displacements from the above it ends up being tight, tight.

Like I said, I can definitely get more space. There is still 2-3 cubes I can get, but it makes for more angles so its a little more complicated.

It's not that I want to, it's that with how close my seats will be to the box, I sorta kinda have to.

heres the thing. The roof flap is going to kill you too. You just have to figure out whats gonna kill you more. i did subs pass side port drivers. I would rather deal with the seats that can move being a problem then the roof that only moves if it rips. thats my take on it. I cant recall seeing guys who are stupid loud doing a top port. There might be some but none that I can remember. besides port on the drivers side means you can stuff some assholes head in the port if you need to :D
