sayhuh? Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 Would this box be good? Subs up, port back. in the back half of a 2 door VW GTI (from the front seats to the hatch). Leaves about 8" of space between port and back hatch itself. Thanks in advance. Blown
CleanSierra Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 That's a LOT of port area for such a low tune. Those subs are low end monsters on their own, they don't need such a low tune to dig low, especially in such a small cabin. I'd cut the port per foot back just a little bit, maybe down to.the 14-16 range? Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
sayhuh? Posted February 16, 2013 Author Report Posted February 16, 2013 Or this? Gives me about 2.75 cu ft per sub, between 14-16 in port area, and tuned to 33(ish) hz. Again..thanks! Blown
zayres29 Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 Second one Btw that was the first person. Ever banned by me while dropping a deuce. Feel privileged
sayhuh? Posted February 16, 2013 Author Report Posted February 16, 2013 Second one or third? lol Blown
CleanSierra Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 Second looks better to me personally, it's the one I would build. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
zayres29 Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 I misread this you are doing 4 15a you should have at least 3.5ft per sub you don't even have 3 Btw that was the first person. Ever banned by me while dropping a deuce. Feel privileged
sayhuh? Posted February 16, 2013 Author Report Posted February 16, 2013 I misread this you are doing 4 15a you should have at least 3.5ft per sub you don't even have 3 actually, no. VVXs only recommend 2.5-3.0 ported. Blown
zayres29 Posted February 16, 2013 Report Posted February 16, 2013 Eh personally id never put 15a in anything less than 3.0 remember bigger box = more efficient Btw that was the first person. Ever banned by me while dropping a deuce. Feel privileged
