Help with amp tuning

Not sure if posting in the right section but, im about to buy a RE Audio DTS 1000 to power a D4 Alpint type R 12, and I dont know what the bass freq. knob is for. Is it for the sub to play at that freq?

So would i also set the lpf to 80 also?

it just sets where the frequencies will stop at. if you buy it set that to 80. and the sub frequencie to 30

That is LPF, you set that to 80 as a general rule of thumb. The subsonic to 30, or half octave below the tuning of your port.

He was asking about the bass freq. That is normally the frequency the bass boost will boost. Even though it says in the description that is already set to 45hz. So I'm not entirely sure what the bass freq is.

In order to correctly tune you amp, you need to use an oscilloscope or a dd.1. Tuning it by dmm or by ear is not the best way to tune your amp. Oh, and NEVER use bass boost. period. Only use the gain when tuning the amp.

keep the settings on the picture and just throttle down the bass boost to zero or set it to 1 or 2 very little bass boost if possible

A DMM will suffice, you dont NEED a dd1 or oscope, although they are the better options. Also bass boost needs to be at zero, any eq's nee to be off too. No bass boost from the head unit or anything like that.
