mrd6
i seen someone suggest that on another forum and thought it seemed okay, apparently not. sorry for my audio ignorance im still learning alot myself No need to be sorry! Its how you learn. I used a set of those premade daytons in a pair of t-line tower speakers I made for my girl. Nothing wrong with them, just need the right application. For a simple two way with your basic 25 watt home reciever and home audio drivers they work great My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...-sundown-power/ Team NorthWestSPL
TRTC360
Ok, any other suggestions? I have 4 pwx 6.5s 8ohm coming in and two ft1s also 8ohm. All going to be in a c1100.4. But I wanted to add more speakers when the funding comes I suggest running two mids per channel on the first 2 channels of the amp, use the built in crossover on the headunit and amp to tune the mids, and then get an inline crossover for the tweets and run it on the last two channels of the amp. Mikey Bates
What is I do this, Ch1. 4 8ohms tweets. They are 80rms each and amp puts out 300 at 2 ohms Ch 2+3 pair of 4 ohm mids on each wired parallel Ch4 run either another pair of 6.5s or 8s Making that 2 tweets and 3 6.5s ( or 2 6.5s and an 8 ) per front door..... The amp have active crossover so no crossovers needed, just use amp, Thoughts?
Mikey Bates
And I'm gonna change the order to 4 ohm mids
mrd6
My thoughts are that if you do that you will lose stereo (left/right) seperation of music in your tweets. It will have no imaging or realism of anykind. Now I would never do this in my car or any car I was building but, if you only care about how loud it is and not how good it sounds then go for it. You will be the one living with it day after day. My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...-sundown-power/ Team NorthWestSPL

Skullz
If you have not purchased anything than DO NOT and buy some real comps to power with that come with crossovers already. Buying and mixing and matching speakers without knowing what your doing is a terrible idea and can lead to more problems than buying 2 sets and over powering the piss out of them. With component sets they are matched and work together to get you the best sound out of them unlike the mix and mismatching of speakers that can have very odd points for crossing over at. My suggestion is to buy some really nice comps and do it once and you'll have plenty of years of enjoyment from them. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
TRTC360
if you want to run so many mids and highs just get another 2 channel amp for the tweets alone and run all the mids off of the 4 channel, and unless you want your mids to play only the frequencies that the tweets play then you can't do the whole channel 1 for tweets, channels 2-3 for mids, and channel 4 for more mids since the crossover only works in pairs of channels, so whatever your settings are for channel one will be the same for channel two.
