SmoTtPokeR420
whats up yall, i have a kenwood 1800watt runnin 2 l7 15s in a probox. i have 0 gauge power wire, havent upgraded all the wire yet, nor the big 3, as i am waiting on my new amp to come in tomorrow. but ive been having a problem with my current amp, as i play music loud for about 30 seconds the amp seems to reduce the power being sent to the sub. the amp does not shut off, just makes the sub get quiet. im hoping its just a messed up amp and this new one doesnt do the same thing. but i wanna know what could be causing it just in case the problem continues with my new amp. i have a stock alternator but i went and bought a duralast gold battery recently..if that helps any. 2005 Lincoln Aviator Pioneer AppRadio2 1/0 gauge wiring Soundstream TX1.2000 2 Kicker L7 15'' subs 9 cu.ft. SmoTtPokeR420
yeah i know about the whole watts thing, and im upgrading the big 3 this weekend after i get my amp, so hopefully that helps. im thinking its just the amp, because i had it on just one of the 15s and it would do it too, it just took longer for it to happen.. 2005 Lincoln Aviator Pioneer AppRadio2 1/0 gauge wiring Soundstream TX1.2000 2 Kicker L7 15'' subs 9 cu.ft. Agreene
it may be the wire from your amp to your subs what size wiring you have there , as you turn your music up that wire may not be to support it causing clipping which the amps picks up and protects itself.
