sorry if im posting in the wrong section. ive got subs amp and boxes so i figured this was the best place.

hey all. today (knowing nothing about car audio) i traded my cruzin cooler that i worth about $200 used for this sub setup. i actually had about $7 with tax invested in the cooler thanks to goodwill so regardless, im ahead. im just curious as to what i got being any good.

i know all the subs work well, he hooked em up to his amp while i watched. only thing i dont know for sure works is the amp. which has its security seal broken. :/

any info on how i should run these on that amp, or if i should even run more than one is greatly appreciated. i just traded one project for another. didnt really expect to hit the jackpot here but decent bump would be nice.

didnt need it, it needed $80 in batteries and you look like a tool driving it. any bump is better than that.

basically i just wanna know what i can run without cooking the amp. ive heard you arent supposed to run different wattage subs on the same amp. i really just wanna know the 2 safest to use.

watts dont matter you have to make sure the ohms are right not to fry your amp

Yea ive gotten worse in trade sub wise. So its not a total loss. But its worth no where near $200. I'm not sure if you got 3 subs and an amp or 4 subs. The only viable option is to use the two matching subs as you can't run or at least shouldn't run mix match subs. If you don't have a pair then you can only run a single sub. That's if the amp works..

Prefab boxes are junk. Not worth much if anything. If you plan on flipping clean it up and good luck.

It is better to sit on a.single semi valuable item even if you don't have a use for it then to acquire a heap of very cheap audio gear in questionable condition.

I'd say imo average $20 per sub. And let's just say $25 on the amp maxxxxxx idk what model hell let's just say 20.

So imo you've got 80-100 bucks worth of gear depending on if you got 3 or 4 subs. You'd prolly have some luck selling the rf. The rest .. not really. But it also depends on your area. You could find some kids who don't know much and gets a few bux easily as long as it works..

So imo he got the better end of the deal, but in trading you live and you learn.

well, ill be happy if they work to be honest. and if i do decide to sell em it shouldnt be too hard. im in chicago myself. i appreciate your detailed message. exactly the type of response i was looking for.
