bcbrassard Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 Ya the good sound deadener stuffs spendy, i didnt go for super hi end stuff but i did install it generiously and properly. now i need or want to add a layer of foam sound deadener for better acoustics & SQ, I have learned a butt load on here in three weeks and getting ready to redo some of my system in early march. Starting with removing speakers from rear deck and consentrating on front stage SQ.
jdcranke07 Posted February 20, 2013 Author Report Posted February 20, 2013 now Idk how to get to the roof under that fabric or to get under the carpet closer to the seats; are those areas necessary? Semper Fi, Jerad
White Lightning Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 Starting with removing speakers from rear deck and consentrating on front stage SQ.Why do you think that removing the rear fill drivers is going to improve your SQ ?? now Idk how to get to the roof under that fabric or to get under the carpet closer to the seats; are those areas necessary?Talk to Coleman at Audio Technix. He will set you up with what you need. I would concentrate on the areas where the drivers are then go from there as an upgrade ... bcbrassard Posted February 20, 2013 Report Posted February 20, 2013 In my cars case its a matter of relocating to the rear doors and upgrade to component speakers. I hate the sound stage thats happening now and have a good idea how to fix it to make it better. Its a small car and sounds horrible in my opinion the way it is. I learned that good equipment in bad locations makes for bad sound imaging.
