like all4spl said.. know body is perfect, kevin is a human being, not a super hero, and we all make mistakes sometimes. i have personally enjoyed every second dealing with skar audio. both kevin and ryan (maliboom) have shown great respect towards me and they represent skar audio to the fullest. customer sevice has been great and i hope to enjoy all my next experiences with skar audio.

Thanks for the replies guys. As I stated earler, I do use Kevin's products and my experience with him was a good one. I just didn't understand all the hate I had seen considering the quality and affordability of his products.

To respond to the skar/tenney thing, stating that people run those two companies. It's basically because both companies are based in the same area. And it's a word of mouth and first-hand experience type deal. You'll notice that the people who run Skar and Tenney are majorly from the Georgia/Florida area.

Apparently at some point Skar was selling b-stock as a-stock to people. Not sure on how many people were effected. There is a 100+ page thread on caraudio.com about it in the Thunderdome.

One car audio manufacturer sent me this sticker as a joke, so I slapped it on my Jeep for awhile.

i had a run in with their b stock (not like the above situation)

i ordered 2 vvx 12s bstock at a even better price than what was originally posted

kevin was in china and had someone else shipping stuff and one of the subs came with a half assed recone job done (surround wasnt glued down all the way)

called kevin and he sent me two BRAND NEW (claimed he tested them personally) vvx 12s and even changed VC configuration from d4s to dual 2s for me (he didnt have to do that)

so customer service wise i think they/he did a great job

product wise i wont run any of their gear with that rubber surround again (wish the ZVX 18s didnt use it cuz id buy them)

down rpping vanderbilt. 30 miles from victoria. i own the 3rd loudest setup here out of 3. but i did put together all 3 setups

iirc, is it still, or has it been changed, that the coning was being done at sundown?

from my understanding they are all pre built in china shipped over and then inspected and shipped out to customers....

i dont think sundown has any manufacturing/business affiliation with skar ( one of them helped kevin design the VVX line from what i heard)

i forget where it came from or who said it but i remember someone stating that coning or reconing or something was being done at sundown.
