Airborne Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 I have a chance to grab a pair of Shocker Audio 18's for what I think is a good deal. I have heard of them but don't remember what I heard. Does anyone know the quality of these things? They are said to be reconed.
Airborne Posted February 24, 2013 Author Report Posted February 24, 2013 the model is super extreme by the way
Airborne Posted February 24, 2013 Author Report Posted February 24, 2013 this is what the seller just sent me... They were reconed about 5 years ago I believe, but they have beensitting on a shelf, almost the entire time since then! They were redonewith Shocker parts, by Mike Ankney, owner of Shocker Audio, OR by mybrother Paul Nelson under the supervision ofMr. Ankney! They are quad coil subs, and read right around 1 ohm percoil! They were used for 3-5 second burps in DB drag racing! They arevery stiff and need a lot of power to get the most outa them!
Airborne Posted February 24, 2013 Author Report Posted February 24, 2013 couple of pics of the actual subs

C-Fizzy Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 Super dope subs. I believe the super extreme is the spl sub tho, extremely tight coil gap, not really made for daily bumping. I'd double check that tho under construction I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me. u hate c-fizzy?
Brandon15zzz Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 I love my shocker sig. Depending on how cheap you can get them I'd say there worth it. Basically look at it as, can you get a comparable sub for cheaper or maybe just a few bucks more? Airborne Posted February 24, 2013 Author Report Posted February 24, 2013 It's a good deal, I know they are pretty much SPL but from what I remember they didn't sound like complete shit on music. I also remember like 30k on 2 in a comp for a few burps.
Airborne Posted February 25, 2013 Author Report Posted February 25, 2013 anyone have an idea what they would be worth?
Airborne Posted February 27, 2013 Author Report Posted February 27, 2013 looks like I am going to pick the up in a few hours. Hope the coils all hold steady!
