Regular cab sub placement

I think a couple IVX 10's in a ported box on the passenger side would be great in that space.

And if budget is really a problem but you want boom for cheap. (Not sq) just go get 2 Hifonics HiFi 12d4 ... They are dual 4 ohm coils so they transfer current really efficient.. They handle 300 rms... And have a ton of good features for a cheap sub. They can be ported or sealed. And I sent a ungodly clipped signal to them 500+ rms for over 2 years and they never stopped. Highly recommended. Plus you can get them for 30-45$ each.

Ultimate budget sub for tight tight tight budget with big bass. (Not sq) but loud bass

Edit they handle 300 rms... But I've seen people feed them 500+ rms all day with a clipped signal and they didn't pop...

If I was gonna do a budget build I would do 4 of these 12's just for cone area. They got a decent amount of throw, take the power, and in my sealed box I could play down to 30hz pretty good. I mean. Sure they are hundreds that are better. But for under 50$ a sub? Hands down the best

Well I'm not a sq guy. I can respect it, and appreciate it. But SQ and cheap don't go together especially if you can't throw in a couple good 8's like SA's or MA's... If your budget is that small then either get a bigger budget or get loud for cheap and go with those hifis.

In my work truck ... and my personal truck, Tools go in the back in a tool box where they belong.

Too hard to get to and makes too much noise going down the road behind the seats for me ...

Sorry guys, thats just me ...

But if it was mine ... I would do the 4 8s and build the enclosure minimum airspace as possible with 2 inch port tuning ...

Keep the enclosure as wide as possible, and short as possible so I could build a small tool trey / compartment something on top of the enclosure ...

my apologies, I can not give brand name suggestions ... I will leave that up to SMD ...
