Thanks guys. I only get access to a full woodshop on mondays(weekdays but can't miss work) I have a tablesaw and some hand tools at home so I'm going to try and finish it up after work with week. Still waiting on Stinger RCA's and isntalling my tweets once my alt whine is gone.

Anyone have suggestions for a box finish? Trunk coating again, paint, wrap, veneer, splatter, fur, whatever?? I"M THINKING I MIGHT DO A VOTE. So give me some ideas, ill put them in a vote and do it.

The top is going to be used as a dog bed, but I'm trying to figure out something removeable.. The front and sides will need finishing regardless though

Fur or the vinyl that Ken used on his box.

Fur or bed liner.

Fur: if it gets dog fur on it, just vacuum it and spray it with febreeze.

Bedliner: If done right, it's pretty much waterproof and since it's inside already, it's not going to see much abuse regardless. But if it does get dirty, it can be wiped clean with damp sponge.

What about mayonnaise-esqe substances? Such as ranch dressing? Will Carbona take the stain out?

Thats what I'm thinking, don't want something super easy to stain, but I've never had some of that thick fur stuff before so I don't know.

Where do you get the fur from? online? I know our local fabrics place doesn't have anything. I can't afford to do bed liner, its too much surface area lol, but I could do the trunk coating again and go black, has the same rouch texture and that stuff takes a beating pretty good IMO.
