Flip the box. Face the subs up, and the port forward and see if that makes a difference... I had a friend with 2 P3 12's in a ported box that we built. He had subs and port forward tuned to 34hz. For an experiment he flipped the box up so port and subs were facing up and when he turned it up, it just sounded like air blowing and all the bass was cancelled out. Just give it a try, if that doesn't work, you've only wasted 2 minutes of your time. Edit: Also, check your phase and make sure you have them wired correctly. *Rebuid in progress*
Raptorman Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 You probably accidentally reversed polarity on one of the subs which is causing hardcore cancellation. Go back through your wiring and double check every wire is on the right terminal. With four subs I wouldn't be surprised if that rookie mistake happened.Hell I did that with my 12's and freaked out when they were moving yet no sound was heard whatsoever. Ended up being just two wires that needed switched. 1996 GMC Sonoma Four Fi BTL Neo 18's In 2:1 6th Order Bandpass 2 Ampere 5k's @ .5 TEAM FI TEAM #LITHIUMCANTDEMO On 10/20/2013 at 0:37 AM, KillaCam said: Fucking with a Prius driver is like making fun of a disabled kid. CleanSierra Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Which voice coil subs do you have there? I would WANT to assume D4 since you say you are wired at a 2 ohm final load. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
CleanSierra Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 I want pics of the setup. Just to answer the question before it comes up, load them into am image hosting site like photobucket, copy the img tag and then post them here Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
