Whats the difference between the BIG 3 and the BIG 4?

Hey whats going on guys? Just wanted to know what the difference was between the big 3 and the big 4. I know its most likely 4 cables instead of 3 but what is the difference? What are you doing with the big 4 that you dont do with the big 3?

basically its just an extra ground. with the big 3, you do the engine block to ground so with the big 4 you would do that but run a ground from alt casing to battery.

it goes to the same place bc the alt is grounded to the engine block. i would rather ground to the alt casing. i think its a better ground

Oh ok, so its just another ground to the alts casing? Got it! I was thinking about doing a big 3 but came across big 4 and had my doubts. If I have enough cable I will do the big 4 because having extra grounds doesn't hurt :D

They way I always do the big 3:

Alt pos. To bat.

Bat neg to new better ground.

For engine block to new ground I always went from alt engine block mount to new ground. So I guess I accomplished engine block to ground and alt casing to ground in a single wire :/
