I know its most likely 4 cables instead of 3 but what is the difference? soundstream15 Posted March 7, 2013 Report Share Posted March 7, 2013 basically its just an extra ground. with the big 3, you do the engine block to ground so with the big 4 you would do that but run a ground from alt casing to battery. it goes to the same place bc the alt is grounded to the engine block. i would rather ground to the alt casing. i think its a better ground Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Got it! I was thinking about doing a big 3 but came across big 4 and had my doubts. For engine block to new ground I always went from alt engine block mount to new ground.
