i need to jack it up to takes pics of it.. one issue i have is that they ended up a bit too long and was rubbing on the rear this time. took the moldings off and it fixed the rubbing. i now have no molding on the rear wheel wells but looks centered. i might have someone fabricate new moldings

have to love the either center or non centered rear end from the factory. i bet the trailing arms were easier to install than the fuel pump was huh? try doing a 5x5 swap on an 78 b body. better yet, swap the entire frame from a 91 caprice to the 78 impala.......haha fun times.

so i have an update

out with the old

as you can see, i was having belt slip even with a 3/4 inch shorter belt. the next belt below that was 1 1/2 shorter so i got it even after thinking its a bit too small

the ground was added to the rear bolt after the bracket was sanded down

my resting voltage before start up.. dont want to void warranty so the battery was topped off

first start up.. this alternator has not whine at all. most HO alts i have used has had lots of whine, even my other mechman. dont know if its due to the technology or that this time i used the right belt size. got to love that cold voltage. hopefully it doesn't drop too much when hot. if it does i have the vcm to take care of that issue

please note that i did not remove the singer due to its performance or issues. its something i did due to the hairpin and the tech mechman had to offer for my needs. Singer was not able to build me a hairpin on my case so i had no choice.. i have other plans for that singer and will go in my other build that i need bad for the power i will run

im liking this beast.. the reason i rev the engine was because my last mechman would jump on voltage to at least 15.9v. this one dont flinch at all and its damn quiet.

Ok something is wrong here. Aren't the 3cfab arms only 5/8's extended? I have 3/4 inch extended BMR's and have no issues front to rear on the rear wheel wells.

5/8 extended. im thinking of going with 35 series tires

What wheel and tire setup is on there now.
