Since im gonna seal it off from the trunk, I want to know the best place to put my port. Des anyone have any experience with this? Results? Etc.. Is the best place for a SLOT / L- port in the trunk? Is it directly behind the driver or directly behind the passenger? I want it to be loud for the driver (me) i couldnt care less about my passenger. soundstream15 Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 I say driver side. If you port on the side then you don't wanna seal off. My friend has his ported on the side with his box as far back to the trunk as possible.

I currently have 1 10 with the port on the driver side and one thing I notice is that it gives you some nice air when it's hot. I m sealing it off from the trunk im putting a box in my trunk thats not sealed off. I hate the sound and i hate the rattle. Plus its louder if you seal it off. mrd6 Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 If your box is a basic 6 sided square box than you should be able to simply flip it back and forth from port drivers side to port passengers side and see which you like best. It coulda been all my imagination but who knows. The box i have right now is ported on the drivers side 90% sealed off. alaskanzx5 Posted March 12, 2013 Report Posted March 12, 2013 general rule of thumb a ported box will unload on the oppisite side of the car. port on driver side of car means louder on passenger side port on passenger of car side means louder on driver side a centered port will be more even between the 2 side of the car. as for sq its all listener preference. t1500bdcp 2 t2d4 15" 1 t600.4 1 t400.2 1 set p1 tweets singer alt, tons of wiring, smd vm-1, 80prs, back seat delete, still in the works, aiming for a 145-147 with the ability to play 25hz up to 50hz.
