I just put 10 sq ft of fatmat in my trunk today. Ive heard some bad things about them sticking if you didnt clean them! Im also 17 So i wi be following this build! Make us proud! I cant wait to do my build in the fall I cant wait to see how yours turns out! Sounds like you'll be makin some noise One suggestion, those obsidians get LOWWW. Id recommend tuning the box to around 32 and not 35. You'll still hit all the high notes but you'll be able to get louder on lower notes! hey man thanks ! being 17 and getting a good system sucks huh had to work over time to get all my shit, and yea i used rubbing alcohol. went through 2 bottles ( you can tell i did by looking at the license plate picture how its clean around the area it would normally be dirty on any normal car. and for the box, its already started almost done actually cleansierra is building top quality box . CleanSierra Posted March 12, 2013 Report Share Posted March 12, 2013 35 Hz is a great daily tuned and this box HAS some airspace for these subs to get down. The box will be VERY musical and will also pound the lows without question. Cabin space and gain are things to be considered when choosing an enclosures tuning. An Impreza isn't that big of an interior to pressurized and the resonant frequency will be higher. If he had a Tahoe, yeah maybe tune that low. In a smaller car with the subs he has chosen, 35 should be damn perfect. The subs,themselves will get the work done without tuning stupid low. Im not the one you want to try to troll.
